TUMELO HARVEY 28/01/09 - 28/07/09

Dear Tumelo
You had to go across the water alone,
Just to remind us all what was here in our hearts all along.
You spent such a brief time here with us,

A gift sent to make us remember right before wrong
If Nelson Mandela can forgive his oppressors,
certainly you can forgive us for our failures

It is clear that you deserved more than just human.
You shook yourself free from time's gravity and impression.

Now you fly high, higher than time itself.

You know Tumelo, we're only human. We really are.

Please then Invite us all to try instead to fly.

Not just to fly, but alongside you on the wings of gratefulness.

Before us all you managed to spread your wings toward destiny itself.
You knew you would return though, landing eternally on our consciousness.
Your approached holding in your hands, all our spiritual canvases.

You picked a brush to distill simplicity for us in composition.

We watched on as you painted in a silence.

A silence that amplified and translated your entire lives conversations
With this brush your early departure embellished the color this family's recent epiphany.

These marks you ask us to dry with the winds of acceptance,

you already know in turn our bleeding hearts may then paint the same.
If Gandhi can forgive persecution, surely you can forgive me for not being ready

People search for romance, flowers and affection,

Have they overhead you? As you teach a lesson of what love really is?

Assignments on how love becomes immortal, you hand out to us,

To pass the test we must answer saying....

Your brief visit taught us that while here on earth,
Its time for homework,
to calculate your visit as a gift to us and equate it to gratitude.

For it is the gift of your birth that once had us all raising our voices,

Telling each and everyone who had ears,

That an angel is now amongst us.
It only right that now you are leaving us,
you usher through these words i write.

These words you whisper to me, looking over my shoulder,

I respond saying, "Even having not met you, I still love you."

We all want you to know, that we will always miss you
We all want you know how much your departure,

has now seated you deep in our hearts, in our lives.

The essence of innocence in us all now has your company.
Guide us, teach us, build us, give flight to our destiny

We will always cherish this as precious, just as you will always be.

Thank you for teaching us how to give.
Thank you for teaching us to recognize a gift from God
You know you showed us that we can fly,

One day, in full flight, we all will be by your side.

"How many chances do we waste on ground work?" you ask,

We must respond saying "From here we could all take a swim,in the sea of guilt, regret and misery. Not knowing that you are watching us, from an island in the middle of nowhere Yet never ever deaf to your constant whisper."
Concluding you say"It is to one's own self, that we should remain true. If Jesus can forgive crucifixion, surely we can survive this and find conclusive resolution.
"

We're only human, shake us all free from this gravity of emotion So in spirit we can fly high together. Shake us free this gravity of division. So together as you are now, fly high on the wings of acceptance.

Rest in Peace my daughter
.

I look ahead to one day finally meeting you.

Thank you for introducing me to you in spirit and soul before flesh and blood.

With eternal

Love
Your Uncle Thualni
